As Education and Health are the inalienable human rights, activities are focused on Water and Sanitation Awareness in 156 Villages and 100 slums on the following concepts: Awareness on avoiding practice of open defecation, dumping garbage / waste near any public drinking water source / public areas, maintaining general, toilet and environment cleanliness in the habitation, and sewage choked drains or pools of stagnant water that can act as breeding place for mosquitoes. The women are educated to approach the Sanitation Department for maintaining cleanliness in their respective villages and slums.
The target beneficiaries are educated to access pure drinking water under Govt. Schemes and Plans by lobbying the local body personnel.
School children at target areas are advised and to practice personal hygiene, hand washing and toilet cleanliness.
Participants are advised implementing Rain Water Harvesting systems.
